On Monday we will be putting up a couple of posts for feedback and input on the future of the Bandom Big Bang, so please be sure to check those out and signal boost.
A few reminders:
Thanks again for being awesome, everyone!
Frank is a mediator, a person capable of seeing and communicating with ghosts and tasked with helping them. He is looking forward to new beginnings after moving out of his mother's house and finding a new job. Unfortunately, the ghost of his new apartment’s last tenant is still making use of the place, and Gerard is not agreeable about vacating it anytime soon. Dealing with an unwanted roommate is the least of Frank’s new found troubles when it turns out his new boss has an angry ghost stalking him whose intentions are leaning towards murder. Looks like new beginnings are turning out to be overrated.
Pete Wentz, sports anchor at WFOB, has a new mission when Patrick Stump takes the lead anchor chair: Operation Best Friend. But what happens when it turns into a romantic project?
Teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, Patrick starts playing cards at gaming hells to make ends meet. So far, he's managing, but when he meets Lord Highleyton, London's favourite disgrace, things start to unravel at an alarming rate - until Patrick ends up betting the last thing he has to offer: himself. Pete just wants to help, but he soon finds he might be doing more harm than good.
The kid had been sitting on the bus-stop's bench for hours. He'd already been there before Pete arrived at the shop to start the morning baked goods at four-thirty. It was almost ten now, so the kid had either missed six consecutive busses, or he didn't have anywhere else to be.
Which of course meant that Pete was going to have to see if he needed a place to stay. Gabe was going to kill him for bringing home yet another stray.
Mikey doesn't actually know what he wants. And then William tells him.
Gerard Way is one of the finest skalds in the kingdom, and one of the few invited by the queen herself to perform at the kingdom's centennial celebrations. But everything he's worked so hard for is thrown into jeopardy when he finds himself the target of a nasty curse. After all, what is a skald without a voice?
Desperate to break the curse, and to keep anyone from finding out about his affliction, Gerard seeks help from the kingdom's most powerful—and reclusive—mage, Grant Morrison. Morrison and his assistant, Frank Iero, quickly determine that the curse on Gerard is both intensely complicated and insidiously specific. To break it, they'll need to search the kingdom for the spell's origin, and then work to unravel its many layers. With the centennial celebrations only a few weeks away, the clock is ticking. Will they recover the Skald's missing voice in time?
Poison is one of the Desert Goddess' Angels of Death tasked with caring the bodies of deceased Runners. Zhey have served her faithfully for centuries.
Until zhey stumble across a runner that isn't dead and everything starts to change.
Frank and Gerard were one of the many popular gay bloggers on Tumblr who posted a lot of material about themselves hooking up with other men. And after nearly half a year of talking to each other over the Internet, they were starting this new year off right with Frank finally coming over to spend the weekend. This friendly hook up would quickly evolve into much more.
Ryan and Z work a lot better as friends than they did as boyfriend and girlfriend. It might have been better if they’d figured that out before they tried to date, but better late than never, right? Together, they spend some time remembering that growing up is a process that never ends, and that sometimes it’s a process that’s easier to deal with when you leave yourself some time to smell the flowers (metaphorically) and feed the ducks (not metaphorically).
“You’re suffering from a lack of fuzzy things in your life,” Z tells him, "I was just trying to do my own small part to address the deficit."
All across the country, strange things are starting to happen - although "strange" is relative for Gerard Way, whose day job is hunting monsters alongside his changeling brother, Mikey. But now something is coming, something too big for even the Ways to handle. Hunters and monsters alike are running scared, so Gerard and Mikey pack up their secrets and their nightmares (and their extensive collection of firearms) and set out in pursuit of information. Their quest for answers will take them and their old Trans Am all the way from the small towns of New York State to the swamps of Louisiana, crossing paths with the burnt-out ruins of the legendary crew Leathermouth and America's last prophet. It's a dirty, dangerous job, but someone has to do it. And before long, the Ways find themselves thrown together with vengeful rival hunters, highly-strung psychics, voodoo queens, chaos magicians and homicidal barmaids - as they prepare to face an ancient evil.Extras:
Disgruntled by his recent slump, Gerard Way, one of New York’s most popular living artists, sets out to find something new to inspire his work. After purchasing a small, cozy cabin just inside the limits of the Pine Barrens, he meets a strange creature who he’s positive should not exist except in fairy tales or mythology.
A Kushiel's Dart AU. Pete is an anguissette, earning out his marque in Valerian House, but it is not his nature to yield.
