Media type: fic
Bands: Fall Out Boy
Relationships: Patrick Stump/Joe Trohman, Band Members/Recognised SOs (implied)
Rating: Mature
Warnings: Grief, off-screen character 'death', discussion of the bullying and mistreatment of a minor
Summary: Joe didn't even want to take the scenic route home from Las Vegas, but Pete never listens, so they're in Death Valley when the ships pass overhead. That's the only reason they're not taken. They should have been. They could all have been at home with their loved ones, taken alongside them. But they weren't.
It quickly becomes apparent that the whole planet's population has been decimated. All population centres have been stripped of every human inhabitant - there are no bodies, no destruction aside from the fires that burn from kitchens left unattended and cars suddenly driverless in the streets - everyone is just gone.
So, they do the only thing they can think of - they go home. Driving across the country from the desert through the mountains, to the endless, flat plains of the Midwest, back to Chicago and Milwaukee, with nerves frayed and panic barely contained, just months after they ended their hiatus and rediscovered and re-calibrated their relationships, they spend days on the road bickering and uncovering the things they never managed to talk out before. All the while trying to make sense of the new world they live in, where they are small - prey to something superior - and the grief of loss without a body to mourn over makes for complicated feelings and difficult decisions.
The main story takes place over around a week, and primarily forms an extended character study, looking at individuals' complexities and how they were each affected by the band breaking up - as well as why it happened - in the context of an inconceivable disaster. Each perspective is the character's own, reflecting their personal bias and the extent or limit of their knowledge.

Bands: Fall Out Boy
Relationships: Patrick Stump/Pete Wentz
Rating: Mature
Warnings: None. Mentions of mental health struggles and a small amount of recreational drug use.
Summary: For once in his life, Pete Wentz did not feel like the biggest freak in the room.
He meets Joe in Borders looking at the week’s new music, and notices when he leaves the faint
smell of charred wood. Eventually he meets Patrick and Andy, Joe’s roommates and they
become fast friends...and it’s easy enough to ignore the strange occurrences here and there.
That is, until one day they’re playing Monopoly and in a fit of frustration Joe lights the board on
fire, only to have Patrick summon water from somewhere and extinguish it. That’s how he finds
out his new friends--and his crush--are actually Sagani, an ancient race descended from the
angels God placed at the four corners of the world to balance the elements and safeguard
Mankind.
Shenanigans ensue, and Pete and Patrick both develop feelings for the other much to the
amusement and (sometimes) annoyance of Joe and Andy. They have to listen to Patrick worry
endlessly if Pete likes him, if he’s interested...and most importantly, how to tell him two tiny bits
of information he left out about the Sagani.
The Sagani are immortal and have no souls...unless they bind themselves to a mortal.

Turns out, Lindsey is looking for the preacher man too, but she won’t say why. Gerard has reasons enough to hate the man, but Lindsey has more—reasons that stretch back into her family, her childhood, and what brought her out west in the first place. Like the hero of any Western story, she wants revenge. Ray is a New Mexico lawman who has to decide what to do with Lindsey’s quest, and whether to allow her to bring vigilante justice to his ranching town.

Relationships: Gerard Way/Frank Iero, Mikey Way/Pete Wentz, Kristin Colby/Mikey Way, Pete Wentz/Patrick Stump
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Minor character death (off-screen), suicide ideation, past attempted suicide, depression, drug use, alcohol use, addiction issues, angst, more angst, use of 'verse appropriate slurs, character enduring extreme poverty and discrimination. Even more angst.
Summary: Soulmate/Soulbond AU.
In a world where everyone has a soulmate, where do the outcasts fit in? Gerard's soulmate died tragically when he was still a teenager, while Frank was a rarity: he'd never had one. Both are viewed as irreparably damaged and broken by the society they live in, shadows with no future, half-lives not worth living, and yet. . .somehow, there's something between them. Not a soul bond, but something else that feels real. Something they have no words for, something outside of what their society recognizes.
Something that just might be the death of them. Or bring them back to life.

But magic works in unexpected ways, and the wolf bites Joe instead, turning him into a werewolf aligned with a powerful Chicago-area pack. Convinced that the wolf took Joe because of Pete's feelings for him, Pete tries to fix things, but wolf pack dynamics are an intricate power play. Their pseudo-pack needs an alpha, and Patrick slots right in, confident and protective and naturally dominant. It will take all three of them to stand up to Joe's old alpha, forming their own kind of pack.
