Weekend Productivity Event

There's a little less than a month left before the draft deadline, so we thought it might be a good idea to host a weekend productivity event over at the BBB discord. It will hopefully provide a combination of motivation, inspiration, and cheering. The basic idea is:

Choose a goal --> work towards goal --> reach goal --> profit? ?? --> rinse, repeat

If you are interested, the event runs from Friday to Sunday; come join us. If you need an invite to the discord, shoot the mods an email and we'll hook you up.

• The event starts on Friday, ends on Sunday. If it is Friday or Sunday in any part of the world, the event is still on going (time zone is set for Pacific/Niue, click to find out the time in Niue).
  
• Show up to the dedicated channel (#weekend-events) at any point during the event and share your goal. Your goal can be anything you want it to be, but should be something you can accomplish over the weekend. Some examples include:
  
  Write x words or spend x time on your fic.
  Finish this scene, or outline what happens next.
  Sketch the layout for your art.
  Do art/vid for x amount of time.
  
  Format your goal like this:
  GOAL: thing that is your goal
  
• Cheer everyone on. Offer help if someone needs some. Post pictures of cute animals. Or cute band members. Share parts of your fanwork. Be silly. Be supportive. Tell bad dad jokes (oh, wait...)
  
• Work toward your goal. When you accomplish it, comment in the channel with DONE: thing that was your goal. Think about working toward another goal if there's still time.
  
• If you need to change your goal, just repost GOAL with your new goal.
  
• If you don't accomplish your goal, it's okay. No one is keeping track, and sometimes inspiration and motivation are lacking. Just try again. You still get a gold star for trying.

If this proves to be helpful, we'll probably run it again every weekend until the draft deadline.
