Drafts are due today. As long as it's still the 25th in Alofi, you're good.

If we don't get an email or a draft from you by the end of the 25th, we will assume that you've dropped out of Wave Three. There's no consequences for dropping out, no hard feelings Life happens, and we hope to see you around.

All right, awesome peeps, your fic(s), mix(es), and art(s) are all due in today! As long as it is Sunday, July 20 in Alofi, you are good to go.

As of right now, we will assume any artist/mixer that hasn't responded to the check-in email is a drop out. Authors: we assume that if you turned in a rough draft, you will turn in a final draft.

Authors, remember that the posting period is July 23 to July 27. If you have any days you can not post, let us know when you turn in your fic!

Behind the cut you will find your submissions guidelines for fic, mixes, and/or art. Clickety-click )

Okay, the deadline for Wave Three is approaching - so let's get a quick head count. Leave a comment if you are fairly confident you will have a rough draft of at least 10k words by July 25th. You don't have to sign in, just an anon comment of "Yes!" is fine.

So, tomorrow is the due date. June 16th. And how did it get here so quickly. Drafts are due then, but as long as it's still the 16th in Alofi, you're good.

THIS IS STILL NOT THE TIME TO START PANICKING.

Seriously. )

The important thing to remember is that you can still drop out if you're freaking out or need to. We don't hold grudges. We will still love you! And what you can't finish for Wave 1 can be done for Wave 3 instead!

But you CAN do it!

Trust us.

No, really.

Drafts are due on Monday, June 16th. As long as it's still the 16th in Alofi, you're good.

If we don't get an email or a draft from you by the end of the 16th, we will assume that you've dropped out of Wave One. You might want to consider finishing up your story for Wave Three, instead. Either way, there's no consequences for dropping out, no hard feelings Life happens, and we hope to see you around.

And wow, does that subject line really date me, or what?

Anyway there's a little over a week left until the rough draft due date. Which is Monday, June 16th. As long as it's still the 16th in Alofi, you're good.

THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO START PANICKING.

Seriously. )

Greeting and salutations! It's your artist!Mod [personal profile] chimneythunder  here, checking in with all you lovely artists and mixers! Obviously, without having any of the actual fic drafts up yet, it’s kinda hard for any of you to have made a start (unless any of you are in current possession of either a TARDIS or Delorian, in which case, are you offering rides and can I come with?) but hopefully you’re all gearing yourselves up in preparation.
We’ll have up a post in the very near future for a reminder on how the claiming process works but for now, to get us all in the mood, I thought I’d pose some questions for you mixers and artists!

Do you go into it knowing that there is a specific type of fic you’d like to provide a mix or art for (e.g. specific pairings, genres or settings) or do you prefer to read all the drafts and see what grabs you?
When it comes down to the actual creating, what process do you like to follow?
What do you like most about creating art or a mix for a fic?

Hi ya!

[personal profile] lucifuge5 here to share with you some tips and tools to get that first draft done. It is doable even if it looks like a super impossible task. #Trustme

Let's face it: whether it's their first story or their 100th, there's a point in which everyone needs a little help in getting their story to a rough draft. Do check out whichever links catch your attention.
So, about this thing called writing... )

Do you Twitter? Do you need some motivation for getting words down on the page? Then hit up the BBB Twitter for some sprinting.

Ping @bandombigbang and ask for a sprinting session. If any of the mods are up and about, we’ll help you out.

And watch @bandombigbang over the weekends - we’ll be running multiple sprinting sessions.

Hey, cats and kittens! This is your friendly neighborhood Writer!Mod, [personal profile] romantical, here to scare the heebie-jeebies by reminding you that we're a little less than one month away from the draft deadline

June 16th is the big due date, and this is the informal check in poll where you appease me and the fact that I am nosy and let me know how things are going, if you need any help, that sort of thing. I promise not to ask any questions about William Beckett which, for those who know me, is a very difficult thing indeed.

So, as Monty Python would say, answer me these questions five. Three, sir. Three:

Are you done with your draft? If not, roughly how far along are you 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4?
Are you already weeping about your summary/title?
Do you need a cheerleader/hand-holding/moral support/beta/a hug?

Hello, awesome peeps!

[personal profile] lucifuge5 here to talk to y'all about the next phase of [community profile] bandombigbang. Even though a lot of what I'll mention will refer to writers, there are a few things that do include all fanworks creators.

So most deffo read on. :) )

Hey there y’all!

This is your friendly, neighborhood Podfic Mod, [personal profile] dapatty, here touching base to see how you snazzy podficcers are doing.

Have you already finished? Have you yet to get started? Are you just as surprised as me that we’re halfway through May? Do you simply need a hug? Kindly copy and paste from the text box below and comment to check in.

This is an informal check in and not required but why not at least discuss cake preferences (who doesn’t like chocolate cake, not that there is anything wrong if you prefer vanilla or bacon or even kale).

Sprinting!

So, the idea is pretty simple. Set a timer, turn off or shut down the distractions (I usually close Twitter/Tumblr) and write (or be productive) for a set amount of time. 30 minutes works for a lot of people, others have more success with shorter or longer periods. Most times I find someone to sprint with, so you have a sense of accountability or competition, depending on how you roll.

The purpose of this post is twofold: to find people to sprint with, and to record your word counts if you are sprinting by yourself.

If you're looking for sprinting-partners, reply to the ISO Sprinters comment - mention preferred platform, usual times you are sprinting, how to contact you.

A comment will go up every couple of days to record word counts if you are sprinting on your own - just reply with your results to the most recent comment.

If you want to help out, feel free to cheer on those who are posting their word counts. They will appreciate it. \o/

This is the screened post where you comment to tell us what you've tentatively decided on recording for your podfic project. If you're still trying to choose between a couple of stories, list them in the comments.

Nothing is set in stone; you're comments are not binding. If there are duplicate stories being chosen, we will let podficcers know and you can wrangle between you what happens next - repods or someone choosing a different story or sudden!collaboration.

Comments are screened. Leave your user name and 1-3 stories you are considering as your Bandom Big Bang podfic project!

Hello bandomfolk! Sign-ups are progressing nicely; we'd love to see more people sign up, and we're very excited about the enthusiasm we've been seeing. Thank you.

Since there are so many people who are new to Bandom Big Bang, we thought we'd work on providing some basic information and tips on how to get through BBB season without your brain exploding from stress. Also, motivation and encouragement, which most people find useful.
