This is the claim post for PODFICCERS.

How it works:

Behind the cut are the summaries of the BBB 2012 fics that are eligible for podficcing and longer than 20,000 words. Shorter fics will be posted for claiming in two weeks, on March 17. (Summaries have been edited to 150 words or less; the full summary can be read at the fic's linked master post.)

Please make sure you're signed up over here.

Carefully consider which fic you would like to claim, then leave a comment with the following information:
- DW (or LJ) username
- E-mail address (please use the same address for the duration of the challenge)
- The number and title of the summary you are claiming.

The mods will reply to your comment and either confirm your claim or ask you to pick something else. The mods will then strike out the summary.

You may only claim another fic for recording after a) a rough draft of your podfic is submitted and approved by the mods and b) more than 48 hours after the opening of claims. (A screencap of the exported file in iTunes or the raw file in your recording software will be sufficient as proof of a rough draft.)

Remember, podfics are required to follow the mandatory warning rule. We also recommend podficcers consider additional warnings for audio triggers (e.g., sudden loud or high pitched noises). Please feel free to e-mail us at bandombigbang@gmail.com if you have a question on this issue.

Nothing happens. Fucking shitty packaging-- the thing's busted. But Frank keeps his hand where it is, jumping a little when he feels the surge of energy beneath it. The robot's skin goes from room temperature to lukewarm, then warm. Frank watches it open its eyes, the light behind them adjusting until they're a pale sort of brown. It looks at him and asks, "Am I dead?"
