What happens next?
Hello, awesome peeps!
glitteryv here to talk to y'all about the next phase of bandombigbang. Even though a lot of what I'll mention will refer to writers, there are a few things that do include all fanworks creators.
By now everyone knows that Wave 1 has a new (and very definite) deadline of June 16th. Our goal is to have as many wonderful fanworks as possible. We know that, for some of you, this might be the first time participating not only in thebandombigbang, but also in a challenge of this size.
If this was a movie, there would be many super fast montages of all the BBB writers with far-away expressions on their faces followed by some hardcore!typing. It would all end with an amazing rough draft that was perfect in every single way.
Unfortch, real life doesn't work like that.
The only way to get that draft done is to sit down and write 20,000 words. That's about 715 words added to your story every day between today and the deadline.
Take a moment to freak out if you need it. *hands paper bags to whoever needs them*
You're back with us? Good!
These are some of the things your Mod team is doing in order to support everyone who needs a bit of encouragement:
* Join this comm. Remember you can also follow us via Twitter (![[twitter.com profile]](https://p.dreamwidth.org/e0caa790ec10/-/twitter.com/favicon.ico)

bandombb) for all kinds of announcements.
* We will be posting an informal writers' check-in post soon. There will be artists and mixers' check-in posts once fic claiming is done (which will happen June 17th).
* Aaaand, there will also be cheering posts going up next week (because the universe knows we all need someone shaking pom-poms, right?). The cheering posts will happen until August 28th.
* Starting tonight at 10:30 PM US EST, your Mods will be running sprinting sessions on Twitter for anyone to join. Keep an eye out for SPRINTING SESSION! announcement frombandombigbang (#Sprintingsessions) and then, turn off or shut down the distractions and write (or be productive) for a set amount of time. BTW, the sprinting sessions will run until August 28th.
It so happens, your Mods have different schedules so that anyone can participate. Each session runs for 30 minutes. Depending on the time available for the particular Mod using the Twitter account, the sessions might run for an hour or two.
* All the info on posting the story and art/mix will go up two weeks before the deadline.
* There will be a post of links for writing and creative resources very soon.
