This year, we only have a handful of submissions for the BBB (mostly due to mod inattention, but also because of the changing landscape of fandom). But as long as people continue to create for the challenge, we will do our best to keep it going.

With the lower number of submissions, that means that double and triple claiming of summaries is a very real possibility. So if the fanwork you had your eye on gets claimed before you have a chance to claim it for yourself, be patient.

Double claiming won't happen until all the summaries have been claimed once. Triple claiming doesn't happen until all the summaries have been double claimed. &etc.

Remember that complements can not be of the same format as the primary. So if the primary is a fic, you cannot write a fic - you must create something in a different format.

Warnings: A few scenes of graphic violence, some dub-con if you squint (demonic seduction that cuts off before anything sexual happens), brief mention of implied child abuse
Summary: Frank just wants to go back to college. He wants to have another normal year of hard classes and late nights, to hang out with the friends he's made on campus, and to eat more shitty cafeteria food than any one person can safely fit into their diet.
He doesn't want to be assigned a new, creepy roommate (seriously, what kind of person divides his time between performing weird ass rituals and staring at the dude he lives with?), and he definitely doesn't want to discover that all the flowers on campus burn his skin like acid whenever he touches them.

Everything gets even stranger in the next week, and Frank's religious beliefs (or lack thereof) are absolutely decimated. It's hard to keep your status as an atheist when you're playing couple's therapist for two ageless beings and watching an ancient god rise from the earth, after all.

On the bright side, he's always wanted to use a legit sword. And those two ageless beings are pretty hot. He'll take all the positives he can get.

A beloved, best-selling author with caring friends and adoring fans, Pete Wentz has no reason to complain about his life-- except for the fact that everyone wants him to write a cheesy romance novel and he's fresh out of ideas. He's known for introspective story lines and dark characters-- how on earth is he supposed to come up with the romance his agent and publishers are demanding he writes?

The answer is Trick. A muse, a character, a simple idea Pete has.

Trick becomes Pete's favorite character to write but only because he doesn't feel like a character, at all. He feels like someone Pete might know; he feels like someone Pete might love.

Is it so wrong to fall in love with someone he's writing? Is it such a problem if the love story he's penning is his own daydream and wish? These are questions Pete ignores.

But the question he can't ignore is that of Trick's existence. He knows he couldn't have come up with such a perfect character on his own-- so who is Trick, really?
