A few notes before we get started...

We know everyone's excited, and we're about to post the sign-ups, but we wanted to say a few things first.
We have a Discord server now. Hopefully it will be a place where people can interact and/or socialize, and to squee over Frank's newest puppy or Pete's selfie with a quokka.
And to that end, you can request an invite to the server whether you are officially signed up to participate in the challenge or not. There will be channels for participants only, where they can share tips and tricks and commiserate with each other. But anyone who wants a place to chat with other Bandom-oriented people is welcome.
If you'd like to check out the server, send an email to bandombigbang at gmail and we'll get you an invite.

We would also like to encourage all non-writing creators to consider participating as a primary creator. The Bandom Reverse Big Bang in 2012 (
bandomreversebb) was a great example of how that worked, but unfortunately, much of the visual art has disappeared since Photobucket decided to be a dick.
If you are an artist/crafter, or a mixer, or a podficcer, or vidder, we'd love for you to create a thing as a primary fanwork. For visual artists, check out
turlough's Welcome to the Black (Cat) Parade, as a great example of a art/craft being created as a primary fanwork. Several people have done podfic as primary fanworks (like
dapatty's Frank/Dewees Podfic Compliation), and at least one (if not more) person has done a mix as a primary fanwork (
syrupwit's mix is an awesome example!).
However your creativity manifests itself, we'd love to see you as a participant in our challenge. And please encourage your friends who are artists and mixers and podficcers and vidders to participate. We want to share fanworks from all the amazingly talented people in Bandom.
