Claiming is going to happen at 1800 UTC on Thursday, August 23. As always, time zones are difficult and this is unfortunately obscenely early in the morning in Australia and NZ. /o\

We have enough people who've signed up as complement creators that every summary should get claimed. Remember that summaries get claimed on a first-come-first-served basis. But keep in mind that if there's a summary that you really love but don't manage to claim, don't panic. Chances are good that the summaries will be available for a second round of claiming.

Please read the instructions on the claims post before claiming. If you aren't signed up as a complement creator but one of the summaries inspires you, go ahead and claim, then please sign up here.

And if you didn't manage to finish your fanwork in time for the deadline, don't worry. You can try again next year. You still get a gold star for trying!

We had about 25 people participate in the poll, and while about 48% of you indicated that you would be done by the deadline, 92% of you indicated you would be fine with an extension. And since 52% of you are not going to be done by the deadline, we'd decided to extend the schedule by a month.

So, we've updated the schedule. We jiggled the final due date a little, because of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the US.

If you have timing issues with either the rough draft, claims, or final draft turn in days, please email the mods.

When you turn in your final draft, you can include which posting dates are a no-go for you and we will accommodate you as best we can.
